Boring Ol' Me...??
A friend commented to me last week: “ Wah Jo, rare to see you out partying – heard that u r the boring type, always stay at home one..”Hmmm… Me Boring?? Never thought myself as a boring person, I mean I don’t see people falling asleep when I’m talking to them… and so what if I stay home all the time, that still doesn’t mean that I am a boring person… in fact there are countless of fun-filled and exciting activities that one can partake in at home!!! *Grins*
But I must admit, I am not exactly the world’s most exciting person… and neither does it bother me that I am perceived as ‘boring’. Indeed to many fun loving creatures out there – I probably am Boring… I don’t like noisy places, don’t like crowded places, don’t like smoky places. I don’t crave for excitement, nor do I care for thrills.
I like to go home straight after work to a nice comfy couch, eat my mum’s home cooked dishes, and wind down to the current drama serial showing on TV.. I like my daily- minimum- 8-hr sleep, and I like to do nothing but laze on my bed, or read a good book before I retire for the night…
Sounds pretty boring eh? But the truth is, I like it this way, and I wouldn’t do it any other way. So even if it seems boring, but as long as I don’t feel it’s boring, then it is not boring… right??
To the friend who called me Boring: I derive pleasure from my mundane ways – that’s not being Boring, that’s being Happy.
